Delete Your Scholarly Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Scholarly account and the data associated with it.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Scholarly app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab → Settings.
3. Under Data, tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us at support@tryscholarly.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your Scholarly account. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account credentials and profile (name, contact details, demographic, academic, and financial background information).
• Uploaded documents (resume, transcript, and other files) and your profile photo.
• Your scholarship application history, essays, and swipe activity.
• Your Scholarly application email address (@scholarlymail.com) and its stored messages.
• Credentials for scholarship portal accounts created on your behalf.

What may be retained

We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes (for example, records of purchases processed by Google Play or the App Store), as described in our Privacy Policy. Subscriptions are managed by the app store you purchased through and should be canceled in Google Play → Subscriptions or App Store → Subscriptions; deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
