Scholarship Deadline Countdown

Add each deadline once. The list counts down live, puts the soonest first, and flags anything due within 7 or 14 days. It saves in this browser.

Your deadlines

Saved in this browser's local storage only. Nothing is sent anywhere.

    Never miss a scholarship deadline.

Scholarly finds scholarships you qualify for, keeps every deadline in one place, and fills out each application from your profile for you to review before it is due.

    How the countdown works

    • Add a deadline with a name, date, time and type. The time defaults to 11:59 PM. Check the actual closing time on each application, and its time zone.
    • The list sorts itself, soonest first. Passed deadlines drop to the bottom.
    • Highlights: red for anything due within 7 days, amber for within 14 days.
    • Live: the countdown updates every second, using your device's clock and time zone.

Your deadlines are saved in this browser's local storage, on this device only. Nothing is sent to Scholarly. To plan the steps before a deadline, use the application timeline planner. To find your state's financial aid date, use the FAFSA deadline finder, which can add it here for you.

For a month-by-month view of senior year, read our college application timeline and early decision vs. early action guides.

    Worked example

You add three deadlines: a scholarship due in 5 days, early action applications due in 12 days, and a state aid priority date in 40 days.

The scholarship is first and red (within 7 days). Early action is second and amber (within 14 days). The state aid date has no highlight. The summary shows 1 due within 7 days and 2 within 14 days.

    Common questions

What time do scholarship applications close?

It depends on the scholarship. Many online forms close at 11:59 PM, but the time zone may be the sponsor’s, not yours. Read the application and set the time here to match.

    Will I get a reminder?

No. This page doesn’t send notifications. Keep it bookmarked and check it, or add the dates to your phone’s calendar too.

    Where are my deadlines saved?

In your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to Scholarly, and the list won’t appear on another device or browser.

    Why does it say Passed?

The date and time you entered is in the past by your device’s clock. Use Remove passed to clear those rows.

    How early should I submit?

A few days before the deadline if you can. Portals slow down on deadline day, and submitting early leaves time to fix a missing document.
