Scholarship Application Tracker

One row per scholarship. Sort by deadline, update the status as you go, and see what you have applied for and won. It saves in this browser.

Saved in this browser's local storage only. Nothing is sent anywhere. Export a CSV to keep a backup.

Want more rows in this tracker?

Scholarly matches you to scholarships you qualify for, tracks every deadline, and fills out each application from your profile and essays for you to review before it goes out.

How the tracker works

  • Add a row for each scholarship you plan to apply for. Name, amount and deadline are enough to start.
  • Status moves from Planning to In progress to Applied, then Won or Not selected.
  • Applied for adds up the amounts of every scholarship marked Applied, Won or Not selected. Won so far adds up the ones marked Won.
  • Still to finish counts rows in Planning or In progress. Each one shows how many days are left until its deadline.
  • Sort by deadline (soonest first), amount (largest first) or status.

Everything is saved in your browser's local storage, on this device only. Nothing is sent to Scholarly. If you clear your browser data, the tracker is cleared too, so use Export as CSV now and then. The CSV opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Worked example

Four rows: a $1,000 award in progress, a $500 contest you are planning, a $2,500 scholarship marked Applied, and a $1,000 award marked Won.

Applied for: $2,500 + $1,000 = $3,500 across 2 applications sent. Won so far: $1,000. Still to finish: 2.

Common questions

Where is my tracker saved?

In your browser’s local storage on this device. It is not sent to Scholarly or anyone else, and it won’t appear on your phone if you entered it on a laptop. Export a CSV to keep a copy.

How do I move my list to a spreadsheet?

Open Export as CSV, then press Download or Copy CSV. Open the file in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, or paste the text into a blank sheet.

What counts as applied for?

Every scholarship marked Applied, Won or Not selected. Rows still in Planning or In progress are not counted, since they haven’t been sent.

Should I report scholarships I win to my college?

Yes. Colleges usually ask you to report outside scholarships, and they can change your aid package. Our guide on outside scholarships and financial aid explains how.

How many scholarships should I apply for?

There is no set number. Local awards are open to fewer people than national ones, so it makes sense to apply for every local award you qualify for, not only the big national contests.
